What will S.G.A be like?

As the patch will take like 5.5 hours + 2 hours seeing that Nexon will screw up again, I BRING YOU THE LATEST EDITION of SGA Times.


I have heard whispers of uncertainty, rumours spreading around. Some aren't shure if our performance will be affected by the highly-probable clan name-change. I am here, Combat Reported Sklpper, to shed some light on S.G.A



Members of SGA are carefully selected and put through some of the toughest training in Combat Arms.
Basic training include Urban Warfare, Jungle Warfare, long-range land insertion course and a close-quarters battle course.



SGA troopers are the raid specialists of the Singaporean Army. We strike mostly under the cover of darkness and employ various means to get to our target undetected.

We are skilled at infiltrating enemy territory using airborne raids, helicopter assaults or sea landings.
We also train members to be familiar with a variety of explosives such as M69HE and the M16AP mines.
Troopers will usually operate at small unit level of about 4-6 men, to carry out raids on important targets.

Some missions include defending a stronghold from being captured by enemy forces and checking door to door for drugs that can be used to make weapons of mass destruction.



Outstanding S.G.A troopers will be put through a Rangers Course.

It is a 65-days course that aims to develop small unit leadership to the highest levels. It exposes the troopers to an extreme course of instruction, structured within the parameters of emotional, mental and physical stress.
At the end of the course, any single trooper will be able to lead his team to victory against a 10000-man insurgent team as basic Skyping skills will be taught to them.
Troopers who graduate from this prestigious course will also be allowed on our 5-man Hit Team which organises Clan wars during early mornings.



As you can see here, these are some of our S.G.A troopers in action in the Dark Forest map.
We are hunting down the Insurgent leader, 090310, aka -Eclipse- aka the hacker from our once-a-friend clan. The cameraman is Binbinbong =D The leader of the team is none other than Sklpper xD The soldier to Sklpper's left is Tiandi (always otp with girlfriend) The one to my right is Weechoon, the ever-vigilant demolition expert in our team. Behind Weechoon is Evangelinez, he lost his G36 so now he using M4 Carbine, poor fellow. The one at the back is the ghost of our dead comrade Mktan(haha nub).

No, I mean, I cant wait for Singaporean Army to change name. Of course its sad because Singaporean Army is a household name in Bulldog Server but because of this also, we have to change name. After all, a Special Operations Team cannot be so well-known.

i dun wan history to repeat itself for S.G.A, just like wat happened to .The Regiments. .... changed clan name and clan died out/disbanded, now _regimentsV2_ ....

kay because first of all, we're a bonded Singaporean community. Although we change Singaporean Army to another name, the clan will always be remembered as Singaporean Army.

Furthermore, we always refer to ourselves as SGA, when we are talking over mics, Skype/vivox so changing our name wouldn't be like going through a full-body reconstructive surgery.

The reason why your previous clan disbanded cannot be solely on clan name change. Probably key members of the clan left to join another clan that was more appealing? Besides, they're all americans, they have a lot of clans they can join.
We are Singaporeans, we stick together to fight against them.

One more thing. If you say that applications will drop then I got an answer for this.
1. The clan does not have many more slots left for newcomers.
2. If there are other Singaporean players out there good enough and meet the rank requirements, we
would already have known them and surely admins can make space for them by kicking out
inactives.

If the members decide to leave then I guess its all personal preference.
If you leave because you think Singaporean Army has lost her identity then I guess Syed's got to write a 'thank you for your services letter' because I think this decision has been carefully thought-out but if you decide to stay, that shows how loyal you are to the Singaporean community in Combat Arms and you joined Singaporean Army not just because you want to carry that name around.
